From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot used full flaps and extra airspeed when landing on a runway with a 50 degree left crosswind of 14 knots, gusting to 26 knots. Pilot used a left crabbing approach, then attempted to establish a left slip just before touch-down. With the excess airspeed, the aircraft floated in ground effect before the wheels touched down. The upwind wing had more lift, causing the right wing to be dragged on the ground. The nose was lowered to reduce the lift, allowing the propeller to strike the ground.
