From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On February 28, 2009, the Palm Beach international (pbi) airport tower reported that aircraft N46265, serial number 17257146, experienced a complete brake system failure while taxing and ran into a ditch at the north county airport (F-45). On March 03, 2009, I received a written statement from the pilot in command (PIC), privacy data omitted. In the statement, privacy data omitted stated that while taxing from spot A-30 at airport F-45 he noticed minimal brake pressure when the brake pedals were pressed and tried to return the aircraft to the parking spot. During the taxi ride to the parking areas, when the pedals where pressed, they went completely to the floor. With no brakes or steering ability, the aircraft gradually went off the taxi area and rolled over a ravine into a ditch causing damage to the propeller.
