From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated landing gear down was selected five miles out on final approach to runway 10, pvg, Hampton Roads Executive Airport, portsmouth, Virginia. A down and locked landing gear indication on the instrument panel was observed and the pilot had a visual confirmation that the landing gear was down. Pilot reported that during the landing rollout all landing gear collapsed and aircraft skidded to a stop on runway with no injury to occupant. A subsequent inspection of the aircraft by the FAA found the damage to the landing gear doors consistent with pilot mismanagment of the landing gear. Additionally, the design of the aircraft landing gear system reduces probability that the landing gear collapsed on landing rollout.

As the FAA filed it
