From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot departed hks around 1220 direct to 77TN with arrival at 1240 hours local. Pilot was in a tandem flight of two, following another kolb firestar. Pilot stated that on approach into 77TN out of 3000' AGL he attempted a landing approximmately 3 minutes after the lead aircraft landed, taxied and cleared the runway. The pilot reported the wind "picked up" over the ridge into his descent, and watching llamas and goats along a fenceline at the approach end of the runway. The pilot described his airspeed being in the vicinty of 60 to 65 mph at about 200' AGL and close to 40 mph above the fence line. The pilot believes the wind was gusting from left right prior to landing and gusting to a quartering tailwind before impacting the fence. Pilot reported he increased his airspeed by increasing throttle just prior to his left wing stalling and just prior to impact.
