From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) N329HP departed ekq for mkl. IFR flight filed for 6000. Enroute the battery low voltage light came on momentarily, then went out. Later, the radios shutdown, electrically driven engine gauges wildly fluctuated reading erroneously, then cut off. The pilot started load shedding to conserve battery. After approximately 20 minutes radios came back on long enough to communicate with nashville approach, pilot advised his situation and asked for a vector to a nearby airport. (M54). The aircraft was slowed to approximataely 95KTS and used the checklist to extend the gear. A normal VMC approach was made. The landing touchdown seemed normal until the propellers were heard striking the runway. The pilot pulled the nose of the aircraft up and cut the power pulling the power and mixture back, and retarded the propellers. As the aircraft slowed, the nose dropped and the left main gear collapsed. The aircraft departed the runway to the left and came to a stop facing approximtely 180 degrees from the landing direction.

As the FAA filed it
