What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
(-23) The student pilot departed kslc on his first solo flight in a Cessna 172. The student had initially planned on entering the traffic pattern at ktvy, but he was not comfortable with the winds (variable 090-120 at 4-7 KTS) at ktvy and elected to do some airwork before practicing landings. After completing his airwork, the pilot again checked the weather at ktvy, and elected to enter the traffic pattern for landing practice because the winds were more favorable (120 @ 4 KTS). The pilot executed one touch and go landing without incident and returned for another landing. Upon landing the second time, the aircraft bounced and the pilot corrected with ailerons and left rudder. The aircraft shortly there after exited the runway and flipped over.
