From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) This amphibious aircraft was attempting a water landing. The pilot indicated that he had to perform a last minute manuver to avoid contact with electrical power lines above the lake. He indicated that there was a black ball, embedded within the power lines that was used to identify the obstruction. The usual color is orange. The pilot indicated that he decided to fly the aircraft nose-down to avoid any collision with the power lines. Whenever he landed on the water, his landing gear was extended causing the nose of the aircraft to pitch down in the water.
