From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Upon takeoff from kgky, pilot discovered that the gear would not retract completely and would not extend even with emergency gear extension procedure. Gear was in half-way position and jammed. Pilot conducted safe landing with the gear in the jammed position. Annual on the aircraft was reported to have been completed during the first week of may 2009. A 1965 AD on this aircraft required a stiffener applied to left main gear. This stiffener broke and may have jammed the gear.
