From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot aborted takeoff as the aircraft was not building speed as expected. After turning off runway at gulf taxiway, right brake was applied to straighten out aircraft. The right brake failed completely and the aircraft ended up in the adjacent grass area. Tower informed the pilot there was a grass fire under the aircraft. Pilot got out of the aircraft and saw that the fire had started at the right landing gear area. After pilot tried to move the airacraft by hand (with no success), he pulled the fuel cutoff valve, got away from the aircraft and waited for the fire department to arrive.
