From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) Pilot stated he noticed on final he was too high, airspeed read 80 KTS. Gave 3 notches of flaps, airspeed reads 60 knots. Gave full throttle, engine responded but sink rate continued to be a factor. Nosed down, saw I was not going to make runway. Hit hard just short of runway in gravel slope. Stopped just short of taxiway. Turned off master switch, but could not turn off fuel. Got out of aircraft, checked time as it was 8:36 pm local time. Walked to Malvern terminal and called privacy data omitted, the airport manager.
