From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

N569WT Mini-Max (experimental homebuilt) developed an engine malfunction at an altitude of 1100 feet and made a emergency landing in to a hayfield located at 121 calais road, Hodgdon Maine. The pilot felt he might had run out of fuel and attempted to switch to the right tank but the engine wouldn't restart. The aircraft flipped over, nose first on to its back. The pilot was taken to the hospital with back and neck injuries. Note: inspector will amend FAA form 8020-23 when pilot is released from the hospital.
