From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) In a telephone interview the pilot advised that he had attempted to depart his private 40 acre field when the airfoil of the powered parachute failed to inflate correctly and he lost control of the aircraft, and collided with his neighbors wooden privacy fence. The aircraft suffered minor damage, I.e. bent front axle and a small nick in the propeller. The airman was counseled regarding this incident. A request for the airman's flight instructor to be reexamined under 44709 will be made through AFS-610.
