What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Prior to landing attemp, the pilot flew over the off-site area and determined there were no problems with the site. At the end of the landing, during transition from 2-point touchdown to the 3-point touchdown (tail gear), the main gear were captured by the soft mud resulting in a "nose-over" on to the cabin and wing leading edges (tail did not make contact). There were no injuries to the pilot and passenger.
