From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

(-23) While attempting to land at Sandy River Airport, a grass strip of approximately 2100 feet, the pilot was waived off by an ultralight pilot and police officer due to the pilot being too high and too fast to land. This occurred twice. On the third attempt, the pilot was waived off again, but the pilot attempted to land, touching down with approximately 600 feet remaining. The aircraft went off the end of the runway, through a blackberry bush, propeller struck the ground causing the aircraft to flip.
