From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On Monday, September 14, 2009, approximately 9:30 am local time, NX11241, a Waco Qcf was flying from hood river, Oregon to prescott, AZ making a scheduled fuel stop in Bend, OR (bnd). The PIC said as the aircraft settled on the runway a gust of wind yawed the tail to the left. The PIC instinctivly used left rudder and toe brake to stop the yaw but lost control as the brake control is controlled through the throttle lever not the rudders. The aircraft veered off the runway collapsing the left main gear causing the lower left wing the hit the ground cracking three spares.
