From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On departure from bna, the crew noticed a vibration and loss of power of the #2 engine. The aircraft was at rotation with an airspeed of approximately 120 KTS. They suspected the abnormality was caused by a bird strike, as birds were seen during the takeoff roll. They notified ATC, executed the emergency procedures for a loss of power and climbed to 3000 ft. after level at 3000 ft the vibration indicated normal, power was normal, but the #2 engine T2 heat indicated fail. The #2 engine was not shut down and the aircraft returned to bna and landed without further incident. After landing, a visual inspection of the #2 engine revealed that two fan blades had received impact damage and the engine inlet shows sign of blood splatter.
