From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During cruise flight the PIC states he turned on the fuel boost pump and switched fuel tanks from main to auxillary when the engine quit. The pilot then switched back to the main tank and the engine failed to restart. The PIC states he confirmed fuel boost pump on and checked the throttle, mixture control and ignition system. No fuel pressure was present on the fuel gauge. The PIC planned for an emergency gear up, flap up landing to reach the beach area. The airplane did land on the beach gear and flaps up but recieved substantial damage during the landing. No injuires were reported to occupants on board.
