From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During a late night VFR x/c flight, PIC climbed above clouds that had developed enroute. PIC mismanaged GPS system & became disoriented. He contacted ftw afss & reported that he was east of his destination (murfreesboro, TN); in reality he was somewhere in south-central MO.eventually, PIC determined that he was near 3MO & was beginning to run low on fuel. He relayed his intentions to land @ 3MO to ftw afss, who then contacted the sheriff dispatcher & requested that emergency vehicles proceed to 3MO due to an acft in distress that was preparing to land. Since the rwy was unlit, two vehicles positioned themselves adjacent to the departure end. PIC landed long & overshot rwy, impacting a barbed-wire fence before coming to rest in the adjacent pasture. PIC was uninjured; minor damage to acft consisted of cracked nose wheel fairing & dent in lt wing leading edge.1st responders assisted PIC w/ moving acft onto the access road / taxiway. 10 gal of fuel that was acquired at another airport was added to fuel tanks. When PIC attempted to reposition the acft w/ engine running, he encountered a drainage ditch. In the process of attempting to extricate acft by placing firewood under nose gear, propeller struck the logs causing add'l damage.
