From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

PIC made an evasive maneuver during flare to avoid several deer crossing the runway, landing hard on the l/h main gear, causing the deflation of the l/h main tire and the #1 engine propeller to strike the runway surface. PIC stated he was pretty sure that the airplane made contact with one of the deer at that time. As the airplane continued its roll out, approx. 600 ft from the initial touch down several more deer were crossing the runway with one striking the #2 engine propeller spinner and r/h main gear door. The aircraft came to rest with the l/h main wheel in the grass on the l/h side of runway 8.
