From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

During landing phase on runway 03 at the Springerville, AZ airport, a herd of elk transitioned onto runway 03/21 and was noted by the flight crew just as the main wheels touched down. Full reverse was applied with heavy braking, but the left propeller of N322BR struck the hind quarter of the last elk crossing the runway. Damage to the aircraft was limited to two bent propeller blades. N322BR completed the landing roll-out without further incident and taxied to the ramp area. The PIC reported that no blood was observed on the prop blades or fuselage and that the struck elk departed with the rest of the herd.
