From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft, a searey amphibian plane was on local flights completing touch & gos and full stop landings between lake dora, leesburg & mid Florida without incident. On return at 1000 ft, east towards Sanford where based, the pilot proceeded with clearance to land. The winds were light, visibility was excellent. The aircraft landed gear up on the runway, causing damage to the keel. The pilot stated he did not remember selecting gear down. It appears from photos & visual identification that the gear handle remained in the gear up position on landing. During a visual inspection of the airplane it appears the electric linear actuator connecting bracket for gear retraction had broken, its this inspectors opinion that it was un- related to the incident and the damage may have occured on touchdown with what appeared to be heavy left wing possibly causing an overload to the gear actuator. The underside had minimal damage to the keel and none to the right side of the aircraft.

As the FAA filed it
