From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

privacy data omitted Radioed to a friend on the ground at Dixie to have him check the snow conditions for landing. The friend indicated that the runway was packed and smooth. privacy data omitted Landed and turned around near the end of the runway landing to the north with 3 to 5 knots of tail wind. He stated he was parked on the runway when his friend in N4XK landed. He noticed that the landing aircraft appeared to be fast and not slowing down. He was not too concerned because the aircraft was to his left on the right side of the runway. At one to two hundred feet from his aircaft the landing aircaft veered left directly towards him and his aircraft. He was able to brace for the impact and the landing aircaft colided with his airplane nearly head on.
