From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 03-06-2010 at approx 3:00 p.m., N365DC,a Diamond DA-20-C1, was being flown solo by a student pilot in the FAR part 141 flight program for eastern KY univ. According to the student pilot, she was on her first solo cross-country from richmond - Mt Sterling - london and she was supposed to make a touch and go at (iob) Mt Sterling. When making the touch and go at (iob), she applied power after touch down on runway 3 and the aircraft veered left of the runway and she was not able to correct in time, aircrat continued left, went across a taxiway and into grass, nose gear was torn off and prop contacted ground then came apart, aircraft slid across parallel taxiway, stopping short of ramp on it's nose. No injuries occurred. Wind was calm and it was dry, so weather does not appear to be a factor.
