From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The aircraft was on an IFR arrival to anc. After passing the arrival gate ATC then vectored the aircraft for a left downwind for runway 14 anc. Since the wind was out of the sw, the airman anticipated possible turbulence although none was was reported in the area, the pilot slowed to maneuvering speed. While on a high left downwind and close to the mountains the aircraft encountered a single jolt of severe turbulence. The first officer and the lone passenger both received minor injuries from striking the overhead. The aircraft landed without further incident.
