What happened
The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.
Pilot jeffrey appleton was taking his practical test for airplane multiengine land class rating. After landing and during roll out he reached for the flap control to raise the flaps and by mistake got the gear handle and put it up , immediately the designated pilot examiner reached over and put it back down. Nevertheless, the left main gear retracted enough to allow the left prop to hit the surface.
