From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC while conducting proficiency flying failed to extend his landing gear during his third touch and go. He stated that he placed the gear handle down during the flare and immediately increased takeoff power. The aircraft's entrance step hit the runway and the pilot retarded the power and came to a stop on the runway. The automatic gear extension did not activate possibly due to excessive speed. The PIC indicated he was unaware of the speed at the time of the incident. Structural damage was minimal confined to gear doors and skin. The significant damage was to the propeller blade.

As the FAA filed it
