From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft crashed while maneuvering at low altitude. Witnesses on the scene reported that the pilot made 3 passes over the property directly next to where the accident happened. The witnesses reported that on those passes he was as low as 10-20 feet, and was sometimes doing abrupt maneuvering. Photographs and video taken by the witnesses corroborates what they saw. After the 3rd pass over the property, pilot attempted to depart the area, but developed a sink rate that was not recoverable. He stated that the aircraft was developing full power, but he didn't have enough airspeed to arrest his descent rate. The aircraft impacted the ground in a flat manner. The aircraft received substantial damage to the propellor, fuselage and wings. The pilot received minor injuries. The passenger was seriously injured with a broken arm and broken vertebrae in her back.
