From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The SIC recalls closing the door after the two passengers had boarded. The crew indicated that the taxi was short and there was a wait of about ten minutes prior to departure. The PIC was focused on the environment outside the aircraft. On takeoff, there was a sound and popping indicative of a pressure change at rotation. Shortly thereafter, the SIC pointed out that the door annunciator caution light was illuminated. During the climb, with plans to turn back and while operating at low altitude, the main cabin door opened. The SIC informed the passengers to remain seated with their belts fastened. The PIC was controlling the aircraft and made an emergency landing at hpn. During the landing, the open door scraped on the runway. The passengers and crew evacuated the aircraft. The aircraft sustained damage to the door skin and damage to associated components in the area under and around the door. Asap filings related to this incident were accepted by the asap committee.
