From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On 06/13/2010 at approximately 18:20 PDT a Waco Ukc-S aircraft, serial number 3978,owned by privacy data omitted lost control during landing at the Boeing field international airport (kbfi) in Seattle Washington causing damage to the aircraft. The pilot and one passenger onboard the aircraft received no injuries. A statement was provided by the pilot which stated the landing distance of this airplane is approximately 600 feet. With maximum aileron deflection into the wind and maximum opposite rudder, I actually landed the plane and rolled out about 300 feet and thought that I had succeeded in this challenging landing. I even made a remark to the passenger that I think we got it down. However at about 300 feet, a gust lifted the windward (right) wing. I already had full right aileron and full left rudder however the velocity of the plane was slowing and control over the rudder and control surfaces were being lost. I avoided applying any brake pressure whatsoever. The airplane "groundlooped." The plane's left wing bow scraped and the plane "vaned" into the wind and left landing gear (being side-loaded) collapsed under the airplane and the plane slid perpendicular to the runway until coming to a stop. As it was sliding, I shut off the master and the mags and immediately shut the gas tank valves off and instructed the passenger to exit the plane.

As the FAA filed it

ON 06/13/2010 AT APPROXIMATELY 18:20 PDT A WACO UKC-S AIRCRAFT, SERIAL NUMBER 3978,OWNED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ LOST CONTROL DURING LANDING AT THE BOEING FIELD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KBFI) IN SEATTLE WASHINGTON CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. I EVEN MADE A REMARK TO THE PASSENGER THAT I THINK WE GOT IT DOWN.HOWEVER AT ABOUT 300 FEET, A GUST LIFTED THE WINDWARD (RIGHT) WING.
