From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pilot was conducting agricultural operations near Delaware county municipal airport, Muncie, Indiana when he struck a high tension power line running southwest to northeast. The power line was a transfer line from a main line running to a substation. The line he struck was approximately 75 feet above the 4 main lines running to the substation. He did see the lines below the line he struck as they were more visible due to their clustering. The pilot surveyed the field in question before spraying as well.
