From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The two parachutists were landing when one moved from the right to left, the parachutes collided together and the lines intertwined making the parachutist spin around each other approximately 360 degree, then spiraled to the ground from approximately 30 feet. The parachutists were theodore wilson and george flynn, both died from their injuries. The ages, Mr. Wilson 70 and Mr. Flynn 75, probably contributed to their deaths. Both were experienced parachutist Mr. Wilson had 12 years and over 1500 jumps and Mr. Flynn has 8 years and over 600 jumps. Both were members of the uspa, their parachutes were 9 cell ram air type, Mr. Wilson's packing record was dated 3/21/2010 and Mr. Flynn's was dated 5/10/2010.
