From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Glider. The pilot stated the following: that he flew the pattern for runway 30. That he felt he was "a little bit high." That he reduced altitude using the speed brakes. That on final, he was "low" & that the winds were "gusting." That when he was at the threshold, he was at approximately 65 KTS. That he opened the speed brakes and that the speed brakes felt like they wanted to open more. That he touched down with the speed brakes extended, & that he touched down on the nose wheel. That the aircraft "bounced" three times & that the "landing did not seem to be a hard landing."
