From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Subject PIC stated after take off from Teterboro Airport the flight crew noticed an abnormal vibration in the aircraft and decided to return to the airport, while on final approach and under a reduction of power a large rise of itt (inlet turbine temperature) was noted in the number two engine. The PIC stated the number two engine was put into the idle position and the itt still continued to rise, the engine was then shut down by the flight crew. The aircraft landed without incident at Teterboro Airport under power of the number one engine. An internal borescope inspection was performed by company maintenance staff and the engine manufacture and damage to the CT wheel was found in the compressor section. The subject engine was removed from the aircraft and is being sent to the manufacture for teardown and evaluation.
