From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot stated it was the second day of flying the aircraft after it was returned to service from an annual inspection and overhauling the engine and propeller. Pilot made several attempts to lower the landing gear. He was getting two main gear green lights, and no nose gear light. Pilot did a tower fly-by to get a visual to see whether the main and nose gear were down. He was told that the nose gear was half way down. Pilot stated he went through the emergncy gear extension check list to no avail. Pilot did an emergency landing with the nose in the half way down extended position.
