From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Reported by front seat pilot he was riding along on a refresher flight as the back seat pilot had not flown as PIC of Antares ma 33M weight shift. The back seat pilot was instructed to keep his hands on the flying bar and follow along with the control inputs for takeoff and landing. Takeoff was normal until the elsa started drifting towards the wind sock. The front seat pilot started to correct for the drift with right control inputs and felt resistance from the back seat pilot this went on for a few seconds until the back seat pilot released his pressure on the controls. The elsa pitched upward to a stall attitude. This maneuver happened close to the ground not allowing for correction before the left wing tip contacted the ground followed by bouncing on the nose wheel then on the main landing gear.
