From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The pattern was a little lower than normal, although the final approach was normal. Mr. Klement's stated that the touchdown on the left main gear was slightly harder than normal. During the rollout, he felt the airplane lean to the left, and he taxied off the left side of the runway. He stated that when the aircraft was just about stopped, the left main gear collapsed. No injuries or fire. No structual damage to the fuselage, wings or flight controls. Mr. Klements has ordered the landing gear assembly and will have it installed at punta gorda.
