From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot donald l hoover stated that upon landing on runway 28 at Elser Metro Airport (4G4), immediately upon touch-down at 75 - 80 KTS, the aircraft veered to the left and off the side of the runway. He said that it felt like the left wheel brake was locked or frozen. On 1/3/2011 visited accident site and inspected the aicraft and runway scars. I was unable to determine the exact touch-down point. Viewed right tire skid mark as aircraft departed left side of runway at approximately a 15 degree angle. I found no indication of skidding on left main tire. The aircraft damaged a runway light with the left main landing gear. Shortly there after the prop struck the ground at about the same time that the nose landing gear collapsed. The aircraft proceeded across a taxi way and then came to a stop in the grass facing the runway. There were no injuries to pilot or passengers or any other damage aside from the aircraft and landing light.

As the FAA filed it

PILOT DONALD L HOOVER STATED THAT UPON LANDING ON RUNWAY 28 AT ELSER METRO AIRPORT (4G4), IMMEDIATELY UPON TOUCH-DOWN AT 75 - 80 KTS, THE AIRCRAFT VEERED TO THE LEFT AND OFF THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.HE SAID THAT IT FELT LIKE THE LEFT WHEEL BRAKE WAS LOCKED OR FROZEN.ON 1/3/2011 VISITED ACCIDENT SITE AND INSPECTED THE AICRAFT AND RUNWAY SCARS.
