From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

In the flare for croswind landing on rw 33 at Orlando-Apopka Airport (X04), aircraft encountered mechanical turbulence and lost control, landing hard abeam wind sock, and scraping tail skeg and rudder. Aircraft became airborne again at slow speed. Pilot rapidly added throttle to attempt go-around; aircraft rolled left, striking left wingtip on runway approximately 550 feet further downrange. Pilot elected to discontinue go-around and retarded throttle, departing runway shoulder at one point before regaining directional control. No injuries among the three occupants; minor damage. No airport damage.
