From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

While on approach the pilot attemped to lower the landing gear in the normal manner but did not get three green down indicating lights. He recycled the gear but still did not get three green lights. He flew by the tower several times to confirm the gear was down after hearing a pop from the left landing gear wheel well area during the emergency landing gear lowering procedure. Upon touch down, the left main landing gear retracted inboard causing the right main gear and nose to also collapse. The aircraft slid down the runway on it belly and props before coming to a stop off the runway in the grass hitting a runway light in the process. The aircraft was removed from the runway.
