From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

The PIC stated the following, prior to departure with one passenger on board the subject aircraft was getting deiced by airport FBO personnel on the deice pad. Both aircraft engines were shut down and the ground crew completed the deice procedure on the left side of the aircraft, as the ground crew was moving the deice vehicle into position to deice the right side of the aircraft the deice vehicle struck the right hand wing-let. The pilot was told by the ground crew that both ground crew members were in the deice vehicle, as they were positioning to deice the right side of the aircraft they did not realize they were to close to the aircraft and hit the wing-let. The aircraft was subsequently towed back to the hanger for evaluation and repair by the company maintenance department.
