From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Aircraft was on short final to runway 27 at 4CO2. Upon crossing interstate highway 25 a severe unexpected down draft was encounted. The runway was not attainable. In order to avoid a railroad track bed on a raised berm the pilot attemped to turn aircraft toward the north in order to land in the grass between the railroad track and the interstate highway. The approach landing was under control. At touch down, the soft ground prevented a normal roll out. The main gear wheel sank in the mud and the aircraft came to an abrupt stop. The aircraft was damaged severly do to the sudden stoppage. There were no injuries.
