From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Instructor encountered a hydraulic failure during flight which resulted in an "in transient light" illuminating. Instructor did not use flaps. After the aircraft landed, the nose gear collapsed striking the propeller. The instructor applied full power bringing the aircraft off the ground then abrubtly forcing the aircraft to the runway causing the nose gear to extend and lock, breaking the right scissor link. The aircraft exited the runway to the right. The student applied full left rudder and brake. The right main wheel was castoring causing the aircraft to depart the runway to the right resulting in a short 180 degree turn in the grass area to the right of the runway.
