From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Student released by CFI for 1st solo in traffic pattern (rwy 18). He stated that his 1st solo touch-and-go landing was "bumpy." During his 2nd approach to landing, he flared too high & noticed a low IAS. He attempted a go-around; however, after applying power, the engine hesitated. The airplane landed hard & he heard the prop strike. The airplane veered left & he applied full right rudder. The airplane came to a stop on the rwy facing southeast. The student was able to taxi to the ramp. Post-incident inspection revealed both prop tips curled back & a motor mount slightly bent.
