From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Per pilots statement that he touched down and the nose gear collapsed. Technicians who removed aircraft from runway stated that the gear overcenter shaft was moving at one end but not the other. This is a solid shaft which passes through a housing with bellcranks on both ends. When moved, both ends should move together since they are connected by a common shaft. Radome, radome moint bulkhead, nose gear doors and nose gear push pull rod, and both props are damaged. There is a buckle in the skin below the pilots windshield. All flight controls, noth wings and tail have no signs of damage.
