From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Departed Mccarthy and landed at off airport gravel bar. Departed for a short flight and upon return to gravel bar was waved off by people on the ground who wrote "tire" in the sand. Returned to Mccarthy and landed with the right landing gear and tire dangling by the crossmember. The landing was made on the left tire. The right gear and tire then broke off of the crossmember bracket. Damage to the aircraft other than the right landing gear is 1) right wing and wing tip 2) one propeller blade 3) engine cowling 4) exhaust.
