From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

Pilot was on a local flight level at 3000 feet MSL and engine quit. Tried an emergy restart and was unable to get a restart. Then tried to divert to Antlers, OK airport (80F) but when he realized he wasn't going to make it, he then landed on the indian nations tollway about a mile and and a half from 80F.aircraft engine failed because the throttle cable disconnected from the throttle body of the carburator when the pin holding the two together came out. Mechanic who checked the problem could not determine how the pin freed itself, other than it was missing. Pilot when asked stated that there was no recent work performed to the affected part.
