From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On September 7, 2011 at approximately 1254 eastern time, aircraft N950NS, a Mcdonnell Douglas DC-9-83, operating under title 14 CFR part 91, operated by the united states marshals service / justice prisoner and alien transportation system, flight number 495, encountered a rapid decompression while at cruise. The passenger's oxygen mask were automatically deployed. The crew diverted the aircraft to Pittsburgh international airport (kpit) and landed on runway 10R; subsequently taxiing to the ramp without further incident. It appears the action of the crew did not contribute to this event. Contract maintenance personnel from sundowner Oklahoma city, LLC troubleshot the aircraft's pressurization system and repaired the system by changing the following components:1)the number 2 cabin pressure controller was removed and replaced due to a bite failure (was originally in the number 1 position before troubleshooting). 2)the outflow valve actuator was removed and replaced (Honeywell part number: 2022014-2 off / 2021974-2 on)(serial number: 73-991 off / 22-420 on)3)the cabin pressure selector (part number: 130590-1)(serial number: 63-326 off / 28-480 off)

As the FAA filed it

THE PASSENGER'S OXYGEN MASK WERE AUTOMATICALLY DEPLOYED.THE CREW DIVERTED THE AIRCRAFT TO PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KPIT) AND LANDED ON RUNWAY 10R; SUBSEQUENTLY TAXIING TO THE RAMP WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
