From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. What happened

The FAA’s narrative, in sentence case. The FAA writes it in capitals and removes private details.

On November 17, 2011, at approximately 1620 hours eastern time (et), aircraft N54552, a Beechcraft be 95-C55, serial number TE-37, owned by ekl leasing corporation, crashed into a homeowner's garage located at privacy data omitted while enroute from new castle airport (kilg) in wilmington, Delaware to buffalo airfield (9G0) in buffalo, new york. Aircraft departed kilg for 9G0 at approximately 1500 hours et. The private business flight was conducted under part 91 operating rules on an instrument flight plan. The four occupants, including the pilot (airline transport pilot with multiple type ratings) evacuated the aircraft and were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries. Aircraft N54552 as well as the homeowner's garage and treasured car collection were ultimately destroyed in the post crash fire when aviation gas from the aircraft drained into the homeowner's operating coal furnace igniting a significant fire fueled by tons of stored coal. Due to the intensity of the fire, the remains of aircraft N54552 at the accident scene were sparse to non-existent.
