From the FAA’s Accident/Incident Data System (AIDS), through its Aviation Safety Information Portal, as reported. The NTSB investigates accidents separately, and its record of an accident is the fuller one. The aircraft is matched to the registry by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry’s history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

On December 3, 2011, at approximatley 2038 local time (CST)a passenger privacy data omitteddeplaining from N62WY, an Aviat husky A-1C-180, serial number 3131 on the ramp at Aero Country (T31) in Mckinney Texas, was struck by the propeller. The passenger departed from the front seat of the aircraft with the engine runnning ans was struck by the propeller. The passenger sustained serious injuries ans was care flighted to parkland hospital.privacy data omitted Was the pilot in command, stated that he had taken privacy data omitted for a local flight to look at christmas lights and that he was planning to take a couple of other folks as well after the flight with privacy data omitted. After landing and taxiing into the ramp area, (in front of privacy data omitted hanger) he stated that he had opened the door to let privacy data omitted out of the aircraft and she immediatley started exiting the aircraft. When I noticed that she was exiting the aircraft in front of the strut, I leaned to my right and put my right hand and arm in front of her to divert her away from the front of the aircraft and the propeller. I continued to keep my arm extended and told her that she should walk behind the aircraft. Once privacy data omitted was at least beyond where the strut attaches to the wing and still walking away, I dropped my right arm and returned to my original seating position.I then looked to the left side of the aircraft and opened the pilot window to talk to the people inside the hangar. I asked my wife privacy data omitted if she wanted to go for a ride. When she didnt hear me, I asked her again when I heard someone yell "stop" "stop", and I immediatley shut the engine down. I exited the aircraft and saw privacy data omitted lying in front of the aircraft.
