After completing his local area flight, the pilot was landing on runway 16 at Atchison Kansas, (K59 amealia Earhart airport).upon touchdown, the pilot stated he applied corrective control inputs to counteract the crosswind. After traveling a short distance down the runway, the pilot stated the crosswind was diminished because of a ridge directly west of the runway. The aircraft drifted to the east and left the pavement. The ground was soft from melted snow, and the aircraft main gear stuck in the soft ground. The airplane flipped over at a slow speed. The pilot escaped uninjured. The aircraft has substantial damage to the fuselage.
